Renewing through the NY State of Health Marketplace

You need to renew your Medicaid coverage every year. You can call us at 1-888-432-8026 on weekdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm (excluding major holidays) or visit a enrollment site near you.

 

The NY State of Health (NYSOH) Marketplace will send you a letter or an email with your renewal date for you to call and renew without losing any coverage. Pay close attention to the date on your letter; you must renew by that by date in order to keep your coverage. You can typically renew 30 days from the date you receive your letter. If you don’t understand your letter or if you need help, call us at 1-888-432-8026.

The NY State of Health (NYSOH) Marketplace will send you a letter or an email with your renewal date for you to call and renew without losing any coverage. Pay close attention to the date on your letter; you must renew by that by date in order to keep your coverage. You can typically renew 30 days from the date you receive your letter. It's important to renew the same way you enrolled.*

If you live in New York City and:

  • enrolled through the Human Resources Administration (HRA), you can renew in person or by mail.
  • enrolled through the New York State of Health Marketplace (NYSOH), you can renew online, in person or by phone.

If you live in Nassau, Suffolk or Westchester counties and:

  • enrolled through the Department of Social Services (DSS), you can renew in person or by mail.
  • enrolled through the New York State of Health Marketplace (NYSOH), you can renew online, in person or by phone.

* If you received a letter indicating that you must renew through the New York State of Health Marketplace (NYSOH), follow the instructions on the letter or call EmblemHealth at 1-888-432-8026.

  • You will have to reapply for Medicaid the same way you enrolled.
  • If you lost coverage due to a change of income you may be eligible for EmblemHealth’s Essential Plan.

If you do not submit your completed renewal form by the due date,
you may lose your coverage.
