We are making it easier for providers and members when it comes to referrals. For initial evaluation of physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) services, providers no longer have to obtain a referral on emblemhealth.com. A referral is also not necessary for x-rays and other radiology tests.
This applies only to those services that do not require preauthorization. If a service requires preauthorization, you should continue to contact Palladian for PT and OT, eviCore for radiology services, or applicable managing entity (Montefiore CMO (until March 31, 2023) or HealthCare Partners).
